Chalet Akaroa is a brand-new luxury ski chalet to our portfolio for the 2019/20 winter ski season. This self-catered chalet in Val d’Isere is located in the charming village of Le Fornet at the head of the valley. The Le Fornet cable car and bottom of the ski slopes are just 200m away, and the centre of Val d’Isere is quickly and easily reached by the free resort bus that runs late into the night.
This Val d’Isere ski chalet is arranged over four floors and offers 230m2 of living space. Sleeping 10-12 guests there are five en-suite bedrooms. To the lower ground floor there are two double or twin bedrooms both with en-suite showers as well as a great family room with a double/twin bed, bunk bed and en-suite bathroom.
On the ground floor is the spacious master suite with double or twin bed and en-suite bathroom. The final twin/double bedroom is located on a floor all to itself at the top of the chalet. This romantic room, tucked away under the wooden roof, has a large double bed and the en-suite a freestanding bathtub and separate shower.
The first floor is home to the specular living rooms and upon your arrival you will be immediately struck with the double height ceilings, picture windows and feature stone chimney. The sitting area has plenty of comfy lounge seating, wood burning fireplace and plenty of authentic decorative touches. The adjoining dining room has a table that can comfortably seat everyone together and the library full of books adds to the feeling of grandeur.
Overlooking the living rooms is the kitchen, so that even the one tasked with cooking up the evening meal can be part of the party. Stepping out from this floor onto the balcony and you can slip into the outdoor hot tub with a pre-dinner aperitif and enjoy the views over the village.
The chalet is completed with a cinema room on the lower ground floor as well as a ski lockers, ski boot warmers and a car parking space.
For larger groups, or several families looking to holiday together, Chalet Akaroa is located next door to Chalet Oxalis and which can accommodate an additional 8-10 people.
