Revelstoke is one of the newest ski resorts in the World, let alone Canada. Though long known as a heli-skiing base for many years, it’s first ski lifts started turning in time for the 2007/08 winter season. One high-speed gondola and two fast chairlifts have transformed this once small local ski hill into a world-class winter destination. With over 1,700m of descent possible, it offers the most vertical in-bounds skiing of any ski resort in North America.
The ski area provides 4 high alpine bowls and 69 named runs and areas, including legendary glades and phenomenal groomed pistes. Skiers and snowboarders visiting Revelstoke can access a total of 515,000 acres of terrain, including the Cat Ski terrain, guided backcountry touring and Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing's operation. The resort has two high-speed quad chairs, an eight-passenger gondola and two dedicated beginner slopes with magic carpet conveyor lifts.
Amenities at the base of the mountain include a multi-grade beginner slope and Turtle Creek Tube Park serviced by a magic carpet lift. Off the slopes there is the Rockford Wok, Bar & Grill full service restaurant, the Mackenzie Common après ski tavern, La Baguette coffee shop and bakery, ski rental shops, the R Gear retail store, guest services and ticket office. The lift-accessed Revelation Lodge at mid-station features stunning views, a self-serve restaurant, an espresso bar, the cosy Begbie Lounge licensed bar and a deck with outdoor barbeques in spring.
Cat Skiing provides an experience full of breathtaking views of the Monashee Mountains and the Columbia River from South, Montana and Kokanee bowl. Enjoy fabulous alpine bowls, naturally gladed slopes and Revelstoke's renowned light, dry powder snow. Snow conditions and the group's ability will dictate the terrain that is accessed each day. Full-day packages include unlimited vertical, equipment rentals, on-slope lunch and après ski snacks.
Located in the heart of the heli skiing capital of the world in Revelstoke, British Columbia, Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing is the ultimate winter destination. For decades, the exclusive half million acres of terrain in the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains and massive annual snowfall has lured skiers and snowboarders from around the world. With spectacular scenery, reliable snowfall and some of the world's best tree skiing, a heli ski holiday with Selkirk Tangiers is like no other.
In addition to skiing you can enjoy dog sledding, Nordic skiing and snowmobiling throughout the area. Once you're finished enjoying the snow, the charming small mountain town of Revelstoke is waiting to be explored, and you'll enjoy traditional pubs, cosy restaurants and charming cafés. Revelstoke also has several museums and cultural attractions for days when you don't feel like hitting the slopes, and there's a small selection of stores selling gifts and sporting equipment.
