Kronplatz Luxury Ski Chalets

The most modern of all Dolomites ski areas, Kronplatz is a standalone mountain with slopes for all levels.

Situated in the heart of the Dolomites, Kronplatz, also know locally as Plan de Corones, is the main ski domain in the area and one that is considered to be the best in the South Tyrol. The resort boasts a fabulous state of the art lift system and has excellent slope grooming. Beginners will enjoy their own gondola, great equipment and superb ski school whilst intermediates and advanced skiers and boarders will enjoy the long, undulating slopes perfect for carving.

As the largest of the 12 ski areas in Italy’s Dolomite Superski region, Kronplatz has plenty to offer for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. The natural splendor of the jagged peaks that tower all around is a major attraction.

Often referred to as the Pale Mountains due to the pinkish hue of the rock faces which can be seen in the sunlight, the Dolomites range was named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. This stunning and majestic backdrop makes skiing here even more of a pleasure as you wind your way through some absolutely amazing surroundings.

Lying at the base of the Kronplatz ski area is Brunico, also know as Bruneck, and this charming, picturesque and relaxed Italian town is the perfect break away from the bustle of everyday life. About fifteen minutes by car from the lift stations is San Lorenzo Mountain Lodge, a renovated 16th century hunting lodge that oozes low-key sophistication.
