La Plagne is now the worlds most popular ski resort and it is easy to see why. With endless intermediate terrain, excellent snow record and numerous ski in, ski out accommodation options this is a great place for families and skiers of all levels. There are 10 villages from purpose built to traditional to choose from and all have beautiful views across the Tarentaise Valley.
The ski area is linked with another mega resort, Les Arcs and combines to create the Paradiski domain, with 425km of pistes. For beginners the numerous gentle and winding slopes along with great ski schools will have you progressing quickly.
Intermediates will rejoice at the boundless variety and size of terrain there is to ski and explore, whilst for experts hire a guide and ski the famous north face of the Bellecôte.
The majority of the slopes in the main bowl are above the treeline, though there are some trees scattered around most of the resort centres. The slopes outside the bowl are open at the top but descend into woodland - the best place to be in bad weather.
Non-skiers can also access many of the high points of La Plagne.
