Chamonix Luxury Ski Chalets

All round winter holiday destination with plenty of varied skiing, off slope diversions and adventures.

The mighty Mont Blanc is ever present wherever you are in the valley; towering over Chamonix which is steeped in alpine history and considered the centre of high altitude alpine adventures in the world. A bustling and lively town with a truly international vibe, this is a resort which is fun both on and off the mountain.

Chamonix’s reputation is well known as an advanced skiers paradise and is on a must ski list for expert skiers and snowboarders the world over. With large amounts of accessible off piste that can get seriously steep and with abundant high altitude snow, those powder turns will feel extra special. Add in jaw dropping scenery and world famous descents such as the Vallée Blanche, a 24km route of glacial terrain accessed from the infamous Aiguille du Midi cable car. Hiring a mountain guide here is essential and after all they know where the best snow if kept too!

There is plenty of skiing for intermediates and with the possibility to ski different areas each day; your holiday will feel like a true skiing adventure. Within the valley there are 4 separate ski areas, Brévent/Flégère, Grand Montets, Le Tour and Les Houches, each with their own appeal. It is also possible to take a drive through the Mont Blanc Tunnel to Italy and ski in Courmayeur for the day, which is great for long cruising runs and even lazier lunches.

For those who prefer their skiing a little gentler, both Les Houches and Le Tour at either end of the valley offer great skiing for all abilities. Though if you are a complete beginner, there are much better resorts to learn in. Most of our luxury ski chalets in Chamonix also include an in-resort chauffeur service, making it easy to access the skiing with maximum comfort and ease.

If you have a group with non-skiers, then Chamonix should definitely be on your shortlist. With many mountain restaurants accessible by ski lift and an extensive list of activities to enjoy, Chamonix provides a true all round winter holiday experience. There are many beautiful and easy walks on the valley floor, alongside the river and through beautiful traditional villages.

There are endless shops offering the latest technical sports equipment to boutiques with haute couture catwalk fashion. With countless bars and a lively après ski scene, you will not want for entertainment. Chamonix has some of the best restaurants in the Alps, with the Albert 1er, Auberge du Bois Prin and Morgane all have Michelin stars.
