This is the perfect choice for a group of family or friends seeking a ski in ski out catered chalet in Val d’Isère. This stone-and-timber chalet is found on the edge of the Santons piste so you really can click in and out of your bindings just a few steps up from the ski room door.
No 1 Bellevarde has been built using genuine old timbers from a local dismantled farmhouse, and oozes charm and character. The vaulted sitting room has an open fireplace, floor to ceiling glass and plump and inviting sofas from which to enjoy the breathtaking view. After a hard day on the slopes, the terrace hot tub is the perfect venue for beer and bubbles.
The chalet sleeps 12 in six en-suite bedrooms, but you don’t have to book the whole chalet, in No 1 Bellevarde you can book by the room on all dates throughout the season. You will have the choice of a twin or double room, all of which have en-suite bath or walk-in shower, hand basin and WC. Four of the rooms also have a balcony.
A green/blue piste leads a few hundred yards down to the Olympique lift area and ski school meeting point from behind the chalet but the driver service will drop you there if you wish. The ski back to the chalet in the afternoon involves either a red or black piste or short traverse across some unkempt snow fields, otherwise a short walk up the hill from the piste. Don’t worry if your last ski down is into La Daille, the driver service will pick you up from La Daille until 6pm.
For guests staying in Hameau de Bellevarde chalets, there is an offer of complimentary ski guiding on Monday and Tuesday from 09h30-12h30 (12h00-15h00 in school holidays) with an Oxygene Instructor (subject to availability and a maximum of 20 guests) and there is a conveniently located ski & board rental service.
