Chalet Zanskar is a stunning luxury chalet located in the heart of St Martin de Belleville. This lovingly renovated chalet offers a striking and spacious modern interior that provides a counterpoint to the traditional exterior. Arranged over four floors and sleeping up to 12 guests, the chalet is tucked away within the charming streets of the old village and offers panoramic mountain and valley views.
The expansive living spaces are spread across the top floor and are impressive in scale. The open plan living room with balcony and framed mountain views is divided from the dining and kitchen area by the central modern glass fireplace. The beautiful timber roof, muted fabrics and chunky sofas provide charm and cosiness for relaxed evenings spent with your loved ones.
To the other side of the fireplace is the grand dining room with table comfortably seating 12. From this space sliding doors open onto a balcony with views across the village and the local mountain La Cochet. The large kitchen with island unit and breakfast bar sits adjacent to the dining table and is fully equipped for your chef to create fresh breakfasts and sumptuous dinners throughout your holiday.
The chalet’s five en-suite bedrooms are spread between the ground and first floors. There are four double bedrooms that can also be setup with twin beds as required for your specific group’s requirements. The final bedroom is a functional, yet stylish bunk room with bunk beds ideal for 4 children or teenagers. All decorated in neutral tones along with decorative local Arpin soft furnishings, the bedrooms provide a haven of calm.
When you are not either skiing or enjoying the culinary delights of your chalet there are also plenty of facilities to enjoy. On the first floor is the TV cinema room with wrap-around seating and on-wall Smart TV. This room is also a great space for any family groups as it offers children and teens their own space to hang out.
On the lower ground floor is the dedicated relaxation space with traditional farmhouse vaulted curved ceilings and a bespoke sauna. There is also a massage table for indulging yourself with an in-chalet massage, or space to lay down the yoga mats for a pilates or yoga session.
When it comes to storing all your mountain equipment there are plentiful options. Located just outside the front floor is the separate ski room with heated boot warmers. Just inside the chalet entrance is a large hallway which also provides lots of storage space for jackets, ski clothes, helmets as well as a special heated cupboard for drying your socks!
The chalet also offers outdoor spaces with balconies accessed from the bedrooms on the first floor and then additional balconies off both the living and dining areas on the top floor. There is also a large terrace on the entrance level.
Nestled in the heart of the village, the charming resort centre with its typical Tarentaise church is just a few minutes’ walk away. In the morning’s your driver will be ready to whisk you to the fast St Martin gondola in just a few minutes, and the ski school meeting points are also located here. At the end of your ski day return to St Martin and enjoy an après beverage or two at the foot of the slopes before your driver returns you to the comfort of your chalet.
