Chalet Eden is a beautiful luxury chalet tucked away in the charming alpine ski resort of St Martin de Belleville. The chalet offers a cosy and cocooning home away from home along with stunning views across the valley. Spread across three floors and 280m2 of floor area all connected by stairs and an elevator, the chalet sleeps 10-12 guests across five en-suite bedrooms.
The entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor with a choice to enter via the ski room or directly into the main lobby. From here, once we have stowed all our mountain equipment, we can take the elevator straight up to the top floor. At the top of the chalet, sitting beneath the beautiful timber roof, are the communal living spaces thoughtfully divided into separate lounge, dining and kitchen areas.
The lounge, located to the front of the top floor, is decked out with large sofas, funky armchairs, soft lighting and a feature gas fireplace. Large windows and French doors fill the room with natural light and open onto a wide balcony. To the rear is the dining room, with table seating 12, and the L-shaped kitchen with island unit, opens onto a wide terrace.
Heading down to the middle floor and this is where the main sleeping quarters are spread. There are four double bedrooms all with en-suite facilities and three with terrace access. Also on this floor are the chalet’s wellness facilities with a glass front steam room, and outside on the terrace a sunken Nordic bath.
Back on the ground floor again and the fifth and final en-suite bedroom is tucked away here and is a family room with double bed plus 2 single bunk beds above, sleeping four in total. This bedroom has a separate toilet in the adjacent hallway. Also on this level is a dedicated massage treatment room, along with a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Nestled just below the heart of the village, the charming resort centre with its typical Tarentaise church is just a few minutes’ walk away. The nearest point to access the skiing is with the TK du Village button lift which is a 280m walk away. There is also ski storage which can be pre-booked next to this lift.
After taking the button lift you can ski over to the main St Martin 1 gondola, and head up into the main ski area and onwards into the 3 Valleys. At the end of your ski day you return to St Martin via a long blue run after which you can enjoy an après beverage or two at the foot of the slopes before returning to the comfort of your chalet.
