Chalet des Cascades could be the ultimate ski in ski out chalet in the Alps. With the best location in Les Arcs, the chalet is actually built into the piste and surrounded by beginner friendly slopes. Winner of the World’s Best New Ski Chalet 2018, for those who being on the ski slopes first, then it will be hard to beat this catered chalet.
Inside the interior is spacious, bright and full of cosy corners in which to relax with friends or curled up with a book. The open plan lounge and dining room is centred on the large feature fireplace, whilst the show kitchen allows you to watch your chef preparing delicious meals. The double height ceilings and picture windows frame mountain views, which can be further enjoyed from the terrace.
With a ski in ski out location right on the ski slopes, you will not have to walk anywhere in your ski boots. In the evenings, or for those who want to have a wander or après session in Les Arcs 2000, it’s a 150m walk uphill across the piste, so remember to pack your snow boots.
The Saint Jacques chairlift is just below the chalet so you can ski down to the lift each morning. There is also a skidoo with a trailer to bring your luggage to the chalet or depending on your arrival/departure time the staff can also transport your luggage by sleigh. Please note that as the chalet is in the middle of the piste the skidoo can only operate at certain times of the day.
For in-chalet relaxation, unwind in the indoor swimming pool or sauna, or enjoy a movie in the TV lounge.
The chalet sleeps 14 in 7 bedrooms including a master suite and a junior suite. Floating above the main lounge is a mezzanine chill out area which is linked via a glass walkway to the TV lounge. There are three separate seating areas, so plenty of room for large groups to spread out into.
Chalet des Cascades is a catered chalet which includes breakfast with hot options, afternoon tea and cakes, pre-dinner canapés with sparkling wine as well as a four-course evening meal. Each week there is a chalet night off, this is normally a Monday or Tuesday. On this day you'll still get breakfast as well as the afternoon tea, however, there'll be no evening meal. The chalet staff can help you with booking a restaurant.
