Chalet Altais is a modern self-catered ski chalet located at the entrance to Meribel Village. The chalet provides a great base for a group of friends or a couple of families looking to holiday together. Arranged over four floors and 250m2 of floor area, this spacious property also has its own spa and entertainment facilities to enjoy once back from the ski slopes.
The entrance to the chalet is located on the top floor where there is storage for all your mountain clothing. Stairs lead down from the lobby to the next floor where the open plan living spaces exude a warm and welcoming atmosphere. To one side is the lounge area with huge sofa, fireplace, flat screen TV and is a cosy and inviting space to curl up and relax in the evenings.
To the other side is the dining area and open kitchen that ensures convivial breakfasts and dinners together. Large windows fill this floor with natural light and deliver views out across the Meribel valley. Behind the dining table, doors lead out onto a wraparound balcony.
The chalet has four en-suite bedrooms and can accommodate 8+2 guests. There are two bedrooms on the top, entrance level, and two further bedrooms on the floor below the living spaces. Upstairs, there is one double bedroom, as well as a family room with a double bed and adjoining bunk room sleeping 2 children. These two bedrooms access the same balcony.
Downstairs, there is a twin and a twin/double bedroom, both with access onto a terrace where you are surrounded by trees and nature. Also on this floor is a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
On your return from the slopes, we are sure that you will be excited to head down to the lowest level of the chalet. Here you’ll find your private spa area equipped with an indoor swimming pool and steam room, meaning you can be fully refreshed for your next days adventure. There is also a dedicated cinema room which works well as a dedicated children’s space, and for immersive movie nights in.
The centre of Meribel Village with its bakery, small supermarket, ski rental shop, restaurant, and lively après ski venue is a 350m walk away. From here you can take the Golf chairlift and ski off into the slopes of Meribel and onward the 3 Valleys ski area. You can ski back to Meribel Village on the blue Lapin piste at the end of your ski day.
Meribel Village provides a very relaxed base for your ski holiday. The village is connected by the regular and efficient ski bus to the main resort of Meribel Centre. Here there are many more restaurants, bars, and shops. For those requiring group ski school, the meeting points are all located at the Chaudanne snow front in Meribel Centre.
For larger groups, Chalet Carriaz is located behind Chalet Altais and sleeps 14. If rented together the two chalets provide accommodation for 22-24 guests in the same location.
