Chalet Hors Piste is a self-catered chalet in the authentic village of Raffort in the Meribel Valley. Recently fully renovated, outside the stone and timber façade is in contrast to the fresh and modern interior. For those looking for a traditional base but with access to the world’s largest ski area this is a great ski chalet.
The chalet is arranged over four floors and 160m2 of living space and sleeps 10 in 5 en-suite bedrooms. Entering the chalet on the ground floor there is an entrance hall with storage, ski boot dryers and toilet. The first bedroom has twin beds and there is also a private sauna perfect for easing tired bodies after a day’s skiing. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Stepping up one floor and you will discover the wonderfully spacious open plan living room. The lounge is centred on the glass fronted fireplace and opens out onto a balcony with lovely views of the mountains. The dining room is adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen ensuring everyone can be together to enjoy this social space.
The remaining four bedrooms are arranged over the top two floors, with the 5th bedroom having the top floor all to itself. In the morning the Olympic gondola lift that takes you straight to Meribel Centre is only 300m away, or the ski bus stop is only 150m from the chalet. At the end of your ski day, snow permitting, it is possible to ski back to the village on a marked run, whilst the ski bus runs late into the evening.
