Chalet Kashmir is a spacious self-catered chalet located in the charming hamlet of Meribel La Gittaz. The chalet perfectly combines a mountain setting surrounded by nature yet only a short drive to the ski lifts and slopes of Meribel. Panoramic views can be enjoyed from the balconies, and the large sun terrace is orientated south-west and perfect for watching the sun set behind the mountains.
The chalet is arranged over four floors and 400m2 of floor area. The entrance to the chalet is on the ground level where there is a garage with parking for two cars, as well as an entrance lobby and separate ski room. From here stairs lead up to the next three floors, with the bedrooms and entertainment facilities on the first and third floors, and the living rooms on the second floor.
Sleeping up to 12 guests there are six twin/double en-suite bedrooms. The first floor is split into two half levels and at the front of the chalet there are three bedrooms all with access to a wide balcony. To the back of this floor are a further two bedrooms, one with access to a terrace. The final bedroom is on the third floor, tucked away in privacy and with its own balcony.
The open plan living spaces occupy the whole of the second floor. This space is filled with natural light from the large picture windows that open onto a large balcony. There is a lounge area with sofas and fireplace, as well as a separate seating area with TV. The dining table sits at the heart of this level and seats 12. The semi-open kitchen with breakfast bar is fully equipped for home cooking.
The chalet is well equipped with spa and entertainment facilities. On the first floor is a large cinema room, along with a spa area with glass fronted sauna, seating area, and dedicated massage room. Outside on the terrace on the second floor there is also a hot tub which you can sink into and let the bubbles ease your tired muscles after a day’s skiing.
The chalet is located a couple of minutes’ drive from Meribel Village where you can take the Golf chairlift onto the slopes of Meribel and the 3 Valleys. You can also return to Meribel Village on the blue Lapin piste. There is car parking available next to the Golf chairlift and bottom of the piste. We recommend either having your own car to access the skiing, or daily taxi pick-ups and drop-offs can be arranged.
Meribel Centre, which is larger and sits at the heart of the resort, is also a few minutes’ drive away. There is a wide array of bars, restaurants, and shops, as well as a good-sized supermarket and cheese shop. The ski school meeting points are also located in Meribel Centre at La Chaudanne which is also the main lift hub. Meribel has a vibrant après ski both on the mountain and in Meribel Centre and Village.
For larger groups, Chalet Kalliste is also located next door and can accommodate a further 12 guests in six bedrooms.
