Chalet Kalliste is a spacious self-catered chalet located in the picturesque hamlet of Meribel La Gittaz. The chalet is perfect for mountain lovers who want to be surrounded by nature yet only a short drive to the ski lifts and slopes of Meribel. Expansive views of the lifts and slopes of Tougnette and Olympique express can be enjoyed from the large sun terrace orientated south-west.
The chalet is arranged over four floors and 400m2 of floor area. Outside the chalet is built with the traditional materials of the valley with stone and timber cladding. Inside there is also plenty of alpine finishes, but this is mixed with white painted walls and more contemporary furnishings. This is a chalet that embraces the mountain environment and large picture windows flood the property with natural light.
Sleeping up to 12 guests there are six bedrooms and five bathrooms. On the second floor there are three double or twin bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, along with a twin room ideal for two children. There is a further twin bedroom that also has an en-suite shower room on the ground floor. The large en-suite master bedroom is tucked away on the top floor and has a separate seating area and private balcony.
The open plan living rooms are spread across the first floor. To one side is the lounge area with high ceilings, numerous sofas, and a grand fireplace. The large dining table sits at the heart of this level and seats 12, and the modern kitchen with island / breakfast bar is adjacent. Doors open out onto a wide terrace with views across the Meribel valley.
Outside on the terrace on the second floor is the hot tub which is an inviting sight after a day’s skiing. There is a ski room with boot warmers to store all your mountain equipment, as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer if you need to do any laundry whilst away. For those driving to resort, there is also parking available in the garage.
The chalet is located a couple of minutes’ drive from Meribel Village where you can take the Golf chairlift onto the slopes of Meribel and the 3 Valleys. You can also return to Meribel Village on the blue Lapin piste. There is car parking available next to the Golf chairlift and bottom of the piste. We recommend either having your own car to access the skiing, or daily taxi pick-ups and drop-offs can be arranged.
Meribel Centre, which is larger and sits at the heart of the resort, is also a few minutes’ drive away. There is a wide array of bars, restaurants, and shops, as well as a good-sized supermarket and cheese shop. The ski school meeting points are also located in Meribel Centre at La Chaudanne which is also the main lift hub. Meribel has a vibrant après ski both on the mountain and in Meribel Centre and Village.
For larger groups, Chalet Kashmir is also located next door and can accommodate a further 12 guests in six en-suite bedrooms.
