Chalet Genevieve is a self-catered chalet in Morzine located on the sunny side of the valley. The chalet can accommodate 14-19 guests, making it great for large group and family get togethers. Arranged over four floors, there is room for everyone to have their own space along with a central floor providing a hub for enjoying meals and spending time together.
Entering the chalet on the lowest floor, you arrive at a spacious hall with a shower room, laundry room and plenty of storage for your outdoor clothing and shoes. The first of six bedrooms is tucked away here and is a spacious bunk room, with four extra-large single bunk beds, each with a reading light and storage cubby. The bunk room also has a TV sofa area with lots of space, and the sofa can be converted into a double bed on request.
On level 2, you’ll discover the TV room with sliding doors to make it a cosy nook for a movie night, along with board games and toys stored in the cupboard. There’s a shower room on this level, plus one double and one twin/double en-suite bedroom. One of the bedrooms also has a beautiful egg-shaped bath whilst both have a balcony looking across Morzine and over to Pleney’s ski slopes.
Level 3 is the heart of the chalet and where everyone can come together for dining, social evenings and hot tub sessions! Big, comfy sofas surround the log-burning fireplace and invite you to unwind, whilst the country-style kitchen beckons for home meal prep. The kitchen has six bar stools surrounding a kitchen island, along with a double oven, coffee machine and a stocked pantry with cooking essentials.
In the evenings you can pour yourself a glass from the drinks cabinet and dine indoors at the vintage French country dining table that comfortably seats 12. In the summer al fresco dining is an option on the balcony with a table seating six people. The patio is accessed off the kitchen/dining area and is home to a five-seater hot tub and a gas BBQ. The outdoor space makes the most of the views over Pleney and Pointe de Nyon.
Also on level 3 is another bedroom with a double or twin beds and en-suite shower room. The final two bedrooms are up on the top floor, one a twin/double room, plus the master suite with an oval bath, twin sinks and a walk-in shower.
The chalet is well equipped for family holidays and features a laundry room with a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. The garage acts as a boot room with heated racks and space to store ski equipment. If driving to Morzine, two exterior car parking spaces are available.
To access the skiing and resort centre, the chalet is just a one-minute walk to the nearest bus stop ‘Hermine/Dahu’, which can take you directly into the heart of town and Pleney lift (free bus, line D). Alternatively, it is a 10-minute walk across the suspension bridge to the Super Morzine cable car, where it is also possible to arrange ski storage. The local supermarket is a 15-minute walk away.
Alternatively, you can walk down the hill to Orange Line M to get a bus to the Ardent lift, giving you access to Avoriaz. The neighbouring resort of Les Gets is a seven-minute drive away and you can ski the Morzine-Les Gets area using the Pleney lift too.
If you are staying during the winter without a car, we recommend booking the on-call 24-hour resort driver service which is available with an additional charge. A team of drivers are available to take you to the ski lifts, bars, restaurants and around the resorts of Morzine and Les Gets, day and night.
