Chalet Cascades is a luxury self-catered chalet in Morzine designed to make the most of its picturesque setting. The location delivers views over the magnificent Dranse valley and the Pointe de Nyon mountain peak. The Nyon cable car is only 500m away and gives access into the Morzine-Les Gets ski area.
The chalet is arranged across three floors and 350m2 of floor area and can accommodate 10-12 guests in 5 en-suite bedrooms. The chalet is built into the side of the valley and as such the living areas are arranged across the top floor, with the bedrooms on the lower floors. On arriving at the chalet, you have a choice of entrances, either directly into the chalet or via the ski and boot room.
The entire top floor is dedicated to the open plan living spaces that sit beneath the stunning vaulted timber roof. A stylish kitchen with breakfast bar and dining table sit to one side, with two separate seating areas the other side. The bar area sits between the two spaces and the ideal spot to enjoy a well-earned apres-ski beverage. Glass sliding doors open out onto a covered wrap-around balcony with panoramic valley views.
Heading down to the middle floor and there are three en-suite bedrooms all with private balconies overlooking the valley. Two of the bedrooms can be arranged with either a double or twin beds, and one bedroom has a fixed double bed. Also on this level is the large cinema and games room where you can wind down with a movie after a hard day’s skiing, or let the children hang out and play table football.
Down on the lowest floor are the final two en-suite bedrooms both with access to the rear terrace. There is one bedroom that can be set up with either a double or twin beds, and a family room with a twin/double bed and 2 additional bunk beds overhead. This level is completed with a well-thought-out gym and sauna area, which leads directly onto the terrace where you’ll find the hot tub.
The chalet enjoys a scenic location on the outskirts of Morzine on the road towards the beautiful Vallée de la Manche nature reserve. The rear of the chalet faces over the valley towards Morzine and enjoys some spectacular mountain views across the Dents Blanches mountain range. If driving to Morzine, the garage has space for 2 cars.
The nearest ski lift is the Nyon cable car, which is just 500m away, and is only 1-minute drive by car. The cable car provides access into the Morzine–Les Gets ski slopes, and the blue Le Lievre piste returns you to the bottom of the cable car at the end of your ski day. The centre of Morzine is only a few minutes’ drive away or a 20-minute walk and offers an abundant choice of bars and restaurants as well as resort amenities befitting one of the most popular year-round Alpine destinations.
In the centre of Morzine are the Pleney gondola which also provides access to the Morzine-Les Gets ski area, as well as the dedicated beginner area at the top of the lift. The Super-Morzine gondola provides access onwards to the high-altitude ski slopes of the Avoriaz sector of the extensive Portes du Soleil ski area.
If you prefer to head directly to the higher skiing in Avoriaz, the Prodains cable car which provides direct access into the resort is around 8 minutes away by car. You can take advantage of the local bus route which stops just outside the chalet.
Chalet Cascades is available to rent on a Self-Catered, Breakfast & Driving and Relaxed Catered basis. On a Self-Catered basis, it is also possible to add in a driver service to and from the ski slopes – please enquire for additional information and pricing.
