Chalet Cret Voland is a self-catered chalet in Meribel tucked away in a peaceful location. The elevated setting, in the heights of Mussillon, Meribel’s famed chalet quarter, affords expansive views across the valley. Fully renovated, this charming property seamlessly combines the authenticity of a traditional Savoyard chalet with the modern comfort of a high-end alpine home.
The chalet is spread over three floors and 250m2 of floor area and can accommodate up to 12 guests. The entrance to the chalet is on the middle floor where the spacious living spaces take centre stage beneath a beautiful wood panelled ceiling. These rooms are filled with natural light from the abundance of large windows and French doors that lead out to a wraparound terrace.
The lounge space is decked out with sofas and armchairs and provides a warm and intimate atmosphere in which to relax in the evenings and plan your next day’s mountain adventures. A wood burning fireplace sits at the centre of this floor and adds warmth and cosiness. Adjacent to the lounge is the first dining table, which is small and perfect for children’s dinners or as a card table.
The lounge area flows through to the main dining area where a large table and the open kitchen are arranged. The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking and the dining area perfect for relaxed breakfasts and once the curtains are closed in the evenings, intimate dinner parties. There is also a separate toilet on this floor.
Taking the stairs up to the first floor and the master bedroom is tucked away in total privacy. This spacious room, tucked away under the roof, has an en-suite with bath, shower and toilet.
The remaining four bedrooms are all spread across the lowest floor. There is one double bedroom with an en-suite shower and two bedrooms with either double or twin beds, along with a separate toilet and shower room. The final bedroom is a quad bunk room with two sets of bunk beds sleeping 4 along with en-suite bathroom.
On the lowest floor are also your own entertainment and spa facilities. The TV lounge is the perfect feature for any groups with children and can serve as a separate space dedicated to them, as well as for a movie if you prefer a relaxed night in. Once back from the ski slopes, you will no doubt appreciate the soothing warmth of the sauna, or to sink into the heated outdoor Nordic bath.
The chalet also features a ski room with boot heaters, as well as laundry facilities with a washing machine and tumbler dryer. If some of your group are planning to drive to Meribel, the chalet also has a car parking space available.
From the chalet it is an 800m or approximately 12-minute walk to the resort centre. At only 50m walk from the chalet is the “Pins Cembros” resort ski bus stop that connects you to Meribel Centre and the main lift hub, snow front and ski school meeting points at La Chaudanne.
The return ski bus from the resort centre stops at the “Le Cleman” 240m from the chalet followed by an uphill walk on pavement back to the property. Or if descending from the “Ronnie” after après ski venue, you can choose to stop at either the “Les Barons” and walk downhill (350m), or the “Le Cleman” stop.
