Chalet Belle Place 2 is a self-catered ski chalet located in Courchevel Moriond (1650). One of the chalets in the Domaine des Glaciers development at the entrance to the resort, the balconies offer panoramic views across the valley and resort villages. The resort centre is just a 250 metre walk away, so it is easy to enjoy all this family friendly ski resort has to offer.
The chalet is spread across four floors and 180m2 of floor area all connected by both stairs and an elevator. Sleeping up to 10 guests, the four bedrooms all with balconies are best suited to 8 adults, or a couple of families with children. There are three double bedrooms as well as a family room with a double bed and bunk beds. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, with one bedroom having a separate toilet.
The living areas are set across the top floor of the chalet with a spacious kitchen with island/bar, dining area, and double height living room with wood fireplace. This floor is flooded with natural light thanks to the large picture windows. A large balcony, facing south and west, invites you to enjoy the sun and magnificent views of the ski slopes of Courchevel Village and Courchevel 1850.
The décor is notable for its use of materials such as wood, stone, and aged brass. The interior spaces stand out for their refined contemporary design, where comfort blends with a gentle way of living for a cosy ambiance. Once back from your day’s skiing, you can enjoy a moment of relaxation in the private indoor hot tub on the lowest floor and which offers a view out onto the terrace.
The chalet also has an indoor ski room with heated boot warmers as well as laundry facilities with a washing machine and tumble dryer. For those driving to Meribel in their own car, there is also a car parking space in the covered parking lot.
To access the ski slopes it is a 450m walk to the main snow front and the Ariondaz gonolda. The Ariondaz gonolda brings you up to an altitude of 2,052m and from where you can choose to ski the quieter local slopes, or head over towards the pistes of Courchevel 1850. Courchevel 1650 has an excellent network of green, blue and red slopes all with stunning views away from the crowds.
On the main snow front are the ski school meeting points as well as the Club Piou Piou for 3 to 5-year-olds where they can start their own adventures on snow. Courchevel Moriond is one of the best ski resorts in the Alps for learning to ski with excellent tuition and slopes to progress on. There are also ski lockers available to rent for the week next to the ESF office so you can leave your boots and skis close to the departure of the slopes and not have to carry your equipment every day.
Courchevel Moriond as it is now known, or Courchevel 1650 as it used to be called, has a wide array of bars and restaurants, with something for everyone’s taste and budget. There is a very well-stocked supermarket and excellent bakery too. The Aquamotion aquatic, wellness and sports centre is also easily accessed by foot or using the resort ski bus.
