Chalet Kandahar is a spacious and well-appointed luxury ski chalet in Courchevel Village (1550). Located close to the centre of resort, the setting is secluded and at the end of a private cul-de-sac of chalets. This is a great chalet for groups looking for extensive spa and entertainment facilities, a refined interior design along with wonderful panoramic views of the mountains.
The chalet is arranged over five floors and 370m2 of floor area all connected by both stairs and an elevator. The entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor where you arrive directly at the ski room. There is also a garage on this level with space for two cars if you are thinking about driving to resort.
Sleeping up to 12 guests, there are five en-suite bedrooms spread between the first and third floors. On the first level are two double bedrooms, and a quad room with bunk bed and 2 single beds. On the third floor at the top of the chalet, there are a further two large double rooms, one with a walk-in wardrobe. All bedrooms have balconies, and all double bedrooms can also be set up with twin beds too.
On the chalet’s second floor are the communal open plan living spaces that open out onto a large balcony with outdoor seating, plancha grill, and stunning mountain views. At the centre of this space is a fireplace with the living area with large sofas and TV to one side, and the dining room with table seating 12 to the other. The fully equipped kitchen, with breakfast bar, opens onto the lounge and pantry.
On the lowest two levels of the chalet are your dedicated spa and entertainment spaces and facilities. On the ground floor is the indoor swimming pool equipped with counter-current swimming system, and with views out across the valley. There is also a dedicated massage room with a steam room / hammam, Italian shower, and toilet on this level.
The lowest level of the chalet is perfect for après ski with a bar for adults and a play area with table football, arcade, and pinball games for children of all ages. There is a television and sound system with Bose speaker, and a wine cellar that will delight connoisseurs. The separate dedicated cinema room is perfect for immersive movie nights at home. A laundry room and toilet complete this level.
The chalet is an easy 350m walk to the centre of Courchevel Village. From here you can take the fast Grangettes gondola to the centre of Courchevel 1850, making it easy to move between the two resorts. There is also a long and fun toboggan run from 1850 to 1550 which all delight both children and adults. In Courchevel 1550 there is the ESF ski school, or you can start you ski lessons in Courchevel 1850 each morning with a wider choice of ski schools.
Chalet Kandahar is available on a bed & breakfast basis. Daily continental breakfast, afternoon tea, and housekeeping is provided each day, along with drinks available at the chalet bar (except for the wine cellar). A private shuttle service is also provided each morning from the chalet to the Grangettes ski lift in Courchevel Village, ensuring the start to your ski day is nice and easy.
