Luxury apartment Alex is situated on the top two floors of Chalet Shalimar in Zermatt. Sleeping up to 12 guests in six twin or double bedrooms, this apartment is perfect for large groups of friends or families.
You enter the apartment on the first floor. On this floor there are six twin bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and balconies. The two master bedrooms have uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn.
A lift takes you up to the living area and dining area, which is wonderfully spacious and bright. This luxury apartment feels more like a free-standing chalet than an apartment as it has double height ceilings and large sliding doors which open out from the living area onto the large balcony. The views of the imposing Matterhorn are spectacular and provide the perfect backdrop for a pre-dinner drink.
The main living area has sumptuous sofas, which surround the large stone fireplace. After a hard day on the slopes guests can enjoy afternoon tea in peace and quiet whilst the children are kept entertained in the apartment’s entertainment room.
On the lower ground floor of Chalet Shalimar is the shared spa area. There is a fabulous indoor pool, sauna, Hammam and massage room which is shared with the four bedroom apartment, Elena which is situated on the ground floor.
Alex is nestled in the enclave of Winklematten and snow permitting is perfectly positioned for keen skiers as you can ski to and from the property. The hustle and bustle of the centre of Zermatt is a 15 minute scenic walk away or a short ride in an electric taxi.
Chalet Alex is available to rent on a “Catered Classic” basis (costs of all food and drinks will be charged extra at cost plus applicable VAT (MWST); Based on chosen package). The chalet can also be rented on a self-catered basis.
