Chalet Macha is a modern luxury chalet in the high-altitude ski resort of Tignes. Located in Tignes Le Lac, the chalet sits alongside the blue ‘Almes’ piste and you can ski right back to the chalet door at the end of your ski day. In the mornings it is just a 50m walk to the piste, where you can ski down to the resort centre. The elevated setting also offers great views over the resort and mountains.
The chalet is arranged over three floors and 250m2 of floor area. Entering the chalet on the ground floor you step into the elegantly decorated welcoming entrance hall and ski room with separate boot heaters for each guest. Here you will also find the spa with an aquatic room with a large Jacuzzi, infra-red sauna, and shower room.
Heading up to the top floor and step into the spacious and bright living room that has been beautifully furnished with a cosy sofa area surrounding the fireplace. The large dining table comfortably sits 10 guests, and there is a bar area near the kitchen perfect for a pre-dinner drink. Outside the wide balcony offers panoramic views over Tignes le Lac, and the Grand Sassiere and Grand Motte mountains.
The chalet can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 en-suite bedrooms. There are four bedrooms on the first floor, with the fifth bedroom on the second floor. All bedrooms can be arranged with either double or twin beds, giving full flexibility for different groups or several families looking to holiday together. Each room is equipped with a TV, WIFI Internet, as well as enjoying balcony access.
The centre of Tignes Le Lac is a gentle 7-minute downhill walk away, and where there is an eclectic mix of shops, bars, and restaurants. The ski school meeting points are also located in the centre of Tignes Le Lac and can also be easily accessed by using the chalet’s in-resort driver service.
For those who can already ski, you can simply head onto the ski slope and ski down to either the Palafour chairlift, or the Toviere gondola which connects you into the ski slopes of Val d’Isere. Tignes and Val d’Isere are both high-altitude ski resorts and form the world famous Espace Killy ski domain. Tignes is located at 2,100m and is a great choice for a ski holiday from early December to late April.
For larger groups, Chalet Macha can be rented in conjunction with neighbouring Chalet Ganga, which can accommodate a further 16 guests in 8 en-suite bedrooms.
