Chalet Lumina is a stylish self-catered chalet in Morzine, France. Formerly one of the original old ‘fermes’ in Morzine, it has been lovingly renovated to create a luxurious and contemporary ski chalet. With a setting on the sunny side of town, the chalet overlooks Morzine and offers stunning views of the Pleney ski slopes and the sun setting behind the Roc D’Enfer mountain.
The chalet has multiple balconies and terraces from which to enjoy the views. Once inside the beautiful interior is spacious and airy and the double height ceiling in the open plan living area an impressive feature. Bi-fold doors open out onto the surrounding balcony and also flood the living room with light and frames the stunning mountain views.
Arranged over three floors the open plan living area is arranged across the first floor. The sitting room features a large, soft seating area by the fireplace, with ample sofa space for everyone. This leads into the double-height dining area, which is overlooked by a mezzanine – perfect for the kids to lounge about in. The modern, fully equipped kitchen is offset from the dining area and has room to offer a bar and drinks corner.
Sleeping 10-12 people, there are 5 large en-suite bedrooms, all of which can be arranged with either double or twin beds. The top floor bedroom also has 2 further single beds to make it a quad room, perfect for a family. The bedrooms are spread throughout the property with 3 being on the ground floor, one on the 1st floor and the family room on the top floor.
For private après ski relaxation, the outdoor hot tub is the spot to head to. The views are stunning and some of the finest in Morzine, and perfect for watching the weekly fireworks and torchlight descent. The chalet also has Smart TV with Netflix, and WiFi internet access throughout. For those driving out to resort, there is also a private garage.
You can walk to the Pasarelle suspension bridge in 15 minutes which you cross and then you are in the town centre. Getting to the slopes is easy and there are a variety of options with the free Line C ski bus stops just opposite the chalet (20m) which takes you to the TS de Fys chairlift.
The free Line D bus is a 350m walk and this takes you to to the bottom of the Pleney telecabine in the centre of Morzine in 8 minutes. You can also take the Line C bus and then change on to the Line A bus up to the Prodains telecabine to the Avoriaz ski area.
For larger groups, there is also the possibility to rent the small but perfectly formed Petit Lumina which is a self contained chalet right next door and sleeps an additional 2-4 people.
Throughout the winter season, a complimentary slope run service is included, with return journeys to the ski lifts provided in an 8-seater minibus on six days of your stay. An additional minibus will be provided for groups of 9 or more, incurring an additional charge. This service is provided by Skiidy Gonzales, ensuring smooth and effortless access to the slopes.
Chalet Lumina is available to rent on a self-catered chalet basis.
