Morillon is a small and picturesque resort with a traditional old village centre only 1 hour from Geneva airport. Spread out along the Haute Giffre valley, the vast pine forests, wild river and lake lend a Canadian feel to the authentic Savoyard charm. There is a modest yet varied selection of shops, bars and restaurants and the village has traditional chalet-style residences which are divided into hamlets, all conveniently located close to the telecabine, river Giffre and le Lac Bleu.
Part of the Grand Massif ski area, which offers 265km of ski slopes, Morillon is a beautiful family ski resort. With 69 ski lifts and around 135 runs for all levels, the skiing is spread out across Morillon, Samoëns, Les Carroz, Flaine and Sixt Fer à Cheval, which together form this diverse ski domain.
There are very few Alpine destinations that can offer such a variety of skiing and snowboarding as well as virtually no lift queues. Together with one of the best snow records, thanks to its geographic position, there are stunning views of the Mont Blanc massif from the upper slopes.
With a vast majority of slopes for beginners or intermediates, Morillon makes the perfect choice for families or those looking to try skiing for the first time. Access to the slopes from Morillon village at 700 metres is by cable car followed by a chairlift, after which the full extent of the ski area is yours to explore.
