Chalet Pontus is a luxury ski chalet located in the peaceful Dou du Pont area of Meribel. This elevated and private area of Meribel offers panoramic views over the resort and mountains. The centre of this vibrant yet traditional resort can be reached with a 10-minute walk where there is an abundance of restaurants and bars to enjoy in the evenings.
The chalet is arranged over four floors and 309m of floor area and can accommodate 12 guests in six en-suite bedrooms. On the top floor and sitting beneath the impressive grand wood roof are the open plan living spaces. This floor can be considered the heart of the chalet where your friends and family can all come together after their day on the ski slopes of the 3 Valleys.
The spacious living area sits to one end of the top floor and spills out onto a large terrace. There are large sofas and pouffes to relax on and a striking modern fireplace adds warmth on snowy nights. To the other side of the fire is the dining area with table and open kitchen.
The chalets six bedrooms are spread evenly between the middle two floors. There are three double and three twin bedrooms ensuring great flexibility for different group configurations or several families looking to holiday together.
On the chalets ground floor are your private spa and entertainment facilities. The indoor swimming pool and sauna will provide the perfect relaxation to both muscles and minds and leave you fresh for your next day’s skiing adventures. The games room with pool table will ensure plenty of group fun in the evenings, whether before or after dinner.
The chalet’s location offers both privacy and seclusion but with the ability to wander into the resort centre. The main lift hub of La Chaudanne is in the centre of Meribel and a couple of minutes drive from the chalet. All the ski school meeting points, whether for the ESF or international ski schools, are also all located at La Chaudanne.
From the Chaudanne, as well as using the ski lifts to access the ski slopes of Meribel, you can also quickly access the other resorts of the 3 Valleys ski area. The 2 stage Saulire Express gondola will bring you up onto the top of the Courchevel slopes, while the Tougnette gondola and chairlift will bring you above the ski slopes of St Martin de Belleville and Les Menuires and from where you can continue towards Val Thorens.
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts in the Alps for mixed ability ski and snowboard groups, as well as offering excellent resort amenities for any non-skiers. There are also many ski lifts that you can access on a walking pass to meet the skiers in your group for lunch at the mountain restaurants. In the evenings Meribel offers a very lively après ski scene, along with many varied bars and restaurants.
Chalet Pontus is available to rent on a catered chalet and self-catered basis.
