Chalet Iona is a wonderful Alpine retreat set in its own private and secluded orchards in the Méribel valley. From the picture windows enjoy the truly breathtaking views across 13 pretty villages that stretch towards the Vanoise National Park and the magnificent Grand Bec mountain rising over 3,400 metres.
For those looking for an authentic chalet experience in the French Alps this is a wonderful catered ski chalet. If quality time in a luxurious property with first class service is as important as skiing in the 3 Valleys, then Chalet Iona is the perfect choice. Here the silence is broken only by bird song, and not surprising that some guests in Iona put skiing in second place within days of arriving, just to enjoy the peace and comfort of the chalet.
The property comprises 3 buildings and the main chalet was completely rebuilt in 2017. The entrance opens into a large, high ceilinged living area with a stunning, modern open plan kitchen, inviting seating areas around the dramatic, suspended fireplace and a huge, hand-made oak dining table close to the large east-facing panoramic windows.
Stairs lead down to an elegant sitting room with wood burning stove, cinema area, reading corners with board games. This area opens onto the large Jacuzzi terrace, the first master bedroom is also on this floor. On the lowest level are the remaining 4 bedrooms, each with its own style, be it art deco or Biedermeier furniture, or reflecting the seasons or the passions of the owner’s family and each with its own bath or shower room.
For the 2024/25 winter ski season, a new and enormous family suite sleeping 4 has been created. This has resulted in Chalet Iona accommodating up to 10+5 guests in five exquisitely designed en-suite bedrooms, along with Chalet India next-door. All bathrooms on the chalet’s lower ground floor will receive a full renovation.
Next door and with the same lovely views is the picture-postcard Chalet India, perfect for a couple or 3 intimate friends.
This is a unique chalet destination in Méribel that will create so many more memories than your normal ski holiday.
Chalet Iona is available on a catered chalet basis and is priced for up to 10 guests. There is an additional charge for further guests.
