Chalet Genepi is a beautiful alpine home located in the exclusive Belvedere area of Meribel. This is the perfect ski chalet for a large family group looking for a quiet location and stunning south-facing views. Tucked away in the exclusive Domaine de Burgin area in the heights of Meribel, the Georges Mauduit piste is only 100m away. After skiing, you can relax in the sauna or outdoor hot tub.
The chalet is spread across three floors and 290m2 of floor area. The heart of the chalet is on the middle floor where the grand living and dining rooms are arranged. The lounge area has two separate seating spaces, one with a fireplace and large screen TV, the other with panoramic mountain views. There is plentiful space for relaxing with a movie, afternoon tea, or lazy nights in.
Walking through to the dining room and the wood panelled ceiling and stone fireplace create an impressive ambiance for evening dining. The massive oak dining table seats 12 and the views over the ski slopes fill the room with natural light at breakfast time. A well-equipped and spacious kitchen is adjacent to this space and is fully equipped for either a professional chef or home cooking.
Sleeping up to 14 guests there are seven en-suite bedrooms spread between the ground and second floors. On the ground floor are four twin/double bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, with two also providing access to a shared balcony.
On the top floor there are three bedrooms. The first is a twin/double with a small study area and en-suite bathroom, and the second a twin/double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and shared balcony access. The master bedroom is a cocoon of alpine charm and equipped with a TV, en-suite bathroom with a rejuvenating shower and twin sinks, study area, and access to the shared balcony.
Once back from the ski slopes the place to head to is the spa area on the ground floor when you can relax in comfort in the outdoor hot tub or let the heat of the sauna loosen tired muscles. A bar is also at your disposal, inviting you to indulge in a beer or glass of wine.
The chalet has a ski room with boot dryers, and if driving to resort private car parking is available.
Chalet Genepi is located just a couple of minutes’ walk to the red graded Georges Mauduit piste from where you can ski down to the main lift hub of La Chaudanne in the centre of Meribel. At the end of your day skiing in the 3 Valleys you can return via the same piste to within a short walk of the chalet.
The bustling centre of Meribel is a 7-minute drive away, where there is an abundance of restaurants and a very lively bar and après ski scene. If you require ski school, there is a wide choice of international ski schools with meeting points at the Chaudanne, and the French Ski School (ESF) also have a meeting point for lessons on peak weeks at the Rond Point area 1,000m away.
