Chalet Notre Refuge is a luxury self-catered chalet in Courchevel Le Praz. This cosy yet chic chalet is a great choice for family ski holiday in an authentic ski village. The ski slopes and ski lifts, bars and restaurants are also all reached with an easy flat walk. Arranged across four floors and 191m2 of floor area, the chalet is ideally suited to accommodate up to six adults and four children.
The entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor with the bedrooms and spa facilities arranged across the lower floors, and the living areas at the top of the chalet. The spacious and light-filled living area spills through to the dining room and kitchen and offers a welcoming atmosphere. The lounge features a large central fireplace for cozy evenings in, whilst above on a mezzanine floor is a dedicated reading or workspace.
One floor down is where the main sleeping quarters are arranged with three en-suite double bedrooms. The bedrooms have all been decorated with their own individual style and design flourishes. On the ground floor is the final bedroom which is a children’s room with 2 x bunk beds sleeping 4 along with en-suite facilities.
The chalet also offers you your own little corner of paradise with a private wellness area perfect for some home pampering after a day on the ski slopes. Choose between the heat of the sauna or relaxing steam of the hammam before sinking into the indoor hot tub. What better way to relax before dinner!
On the lowest floor of the chalet is the ski room with heated boot warmers, as well as a laundry room with washing machine and tumbler dryer. An elevator serves all levels of the chalet apart from the mezzanine office area. 2 private uncovered parking spaces are also available for guests driving to resort.
The chalet is a flat 300m walk to the Le Praz gondola which connects you directly into the centre of Courchevel 1850. The ESF (French) ski school, as well as the international ski schools, all meet in front of the La Croisette lift hub in the centre of 1850. From 1850 you have a choice of 3 gondolas to head further up the mountain, or you can ski down to the Plantrey chairlift, and continue up the mountain without having to take your skis off.
To return to Courchevel Le Praz at the end of your ski day, you have several choices. The red Les Brigues piste descends from Courchevel 1850 and returns you to the centre of Courchevel Le Praz and within 150m of the chalet. For a more demanding final run of the day, the L’Éclipse piste, used for the Alpine World Ski Championships 2023 men’s final, descends from the Col de Loze at 2,234m and finishes next to the ski jump in Le Praz at 1,290m.
Alternatively, you can use the Le Praz gondola to downshift from the centre of Courchevel 1850 or use the ski bus service which is a great choice if you finish your day with some après ski in Courchevel 1650.
The chalet is just a 100m flat walk away from the centre of Courchevel Le Praz. This village represents the authentic Courchevel and exudes a timeless soul with its narrow streets, farmhouses chalets and Sainte Marie Madeleine church. The village has an excellent selection of restaurants and bars, whilst it is easy to connect to the other Courchevel villages by either gondola or ski bus.
As part of the 3 Valleys, the world’s largest linked ski area, the village is always developing its infrastructure. Its lake and ski jump were built for the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games and the resort offers a wide range of winter and summer activities for the whole family.
