Chalet Josephine is situated in the residential area of Les Bois in the Chamonix valley. The tranquil settings balances being a very short drive from the lift station to the Flegere ski area, the Chamonix Golf Course and the village of Les Praz where there are a handful of excellent restaurants and bars. This spacious chalet combines high-end finishes and beautiful interior design.
Arranged across three floors and 284m2 of floor area the impressive open plan living area is spread across the top floor. A wood burning fireplace creates focal point for cosy winter evenings with friends and family, and glass doors open onto a terrace with an outdoor dining space and beautiful views of the Mont Blanc range.
Large picture windows frame the Bossons glacier and surrounding peaks that can be gazed upon whilst dining at the large table. The adjacent open kitchen with breakfast bar is fully equipped for home cooking. Tucked away just off the lounge, and down a couple of steps, is a dedicated office for those who need to keep up to date during their stay.
If visiting during the summer months, evenings are best spent on the terrace with dining furniture and is the perfect spot to enjoy a BBQ and watch the sun set over the mountains. Also on the terrace is the sunken hot tub, inviting you to relax no matter what the season.
Back inside and the facilities continue with multiple social areas allowing groups to spread out. On the middle floor is a dedicated TV room whilst on the ground floor there is a TV / games room with pool table. There is also a sauna for those cold snowy winter days when you need to defrost after a day on the ski slopes!
Sleeping up to 14 guests, there are 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. The main sleeping quarters are spread across the middle floor with four bedrooms including the master. Three of these four double rooms can also be arranged with twin beds. On the top floor is a further twin / double bedroom, whilst on the ground floor is a quad bunk room sleeping 4.
The chalet is also equipped with a ski room with boot heaters, bike storage, and laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also an integrated single garage and exterior parking for up to 4 cars, along with an EV charging point.
To maximise your time in resort it is advantageous to have a car, though the resort does offer a comprehensive bus and train service. The nearest bus stop (Les Bois) is 200m from the chalet. For grocery shopping there is a large supermarket a 4km drive away, and the bustling centre of Chamonix is the same distance from the chalet.
The Flegere / Brevent ski slopes are the nearest of Chamonix’s four separate ski area, with the Flegere lift just 1km away. For those learning to ski, the 2 dedicated nursery areas of Savoy and Planards are a 3.5km and 4km drive from the chalet.
The other ski areas of the Chamonix valley include Grands Montets, 4.5km away, and is a real adventure playground for strong skiers and snowboarders. At either end of the valley are Les Houches and Le Tour, and these areas offer a more varied network of slopes for all levels.
For larger groups, Chalet Josephine can be rented in conjunction with Chalet Black Stone nearby. Together these chalets can sleep up to 24 people in 11 bedrooms.
Chalet Josephine is available to rent on a self-catered basis with daily housekeeping and daily delivery of bread & pastries. Additional services such as in-chalet catering or driver service can all be arranged at extra cost.
