For those after the ultimate ski in ski out location then The Chalet in Oberlech is a wonderful chalet. Located at an altitude of 1,700m and looking over the resort of Lech below, Oberlech is one of the most exclusive ski resorts in the world. With one of the most abundant snow records in the Alps the chalet is a great destination from early December to Easter.
The chalet is arranged over four floors and 700m2 of living space all connected by both stairs and an elevator. With a beautiful sunny, south-facing setting and jaw-dropping views the location is simply perfect. Inside the interior is cosy and the use of natural materials complements the Alpine setting. Sleeping 10 guests there are four double en-suite bedrooms arranged over the ground and first floors, as well as an apartment with large bunk bed suitable for 2 adults or children.
The top floor offers a true homage to mountain living with a vast wooden ceiling, central stone fireplace and mountain views all framed by large picture windows. There is plentiful comfy seating perfect for quality time with friends and family and the large dining table perfect for private dinner parties each evening. For those who need to work there is also an office area and the large terrace wonderful panoramic views.
On the lowest floor of the chalet there is an abundant array of facilities for relaxation and entertainment. The spa area has hot tub, sauna, massage room and plentiful loungers to relax on. Next door is all about time together with a pool table, bar and TV area. To finish things off there is even a sports room equipped with table football, table tennis and room for yoga or boxing.
With direct access to the ski slopes you can maximise your day on the slopes. Lech has some of the finest groomed ski slopes to be found anywhere and the lift network is modern and efficient. Off-piste skiers should definitely hire a mountain guide to discover vast expanses of powder snow and to enjoy some fabulously long descents.
The chalet is completed with a ski room to ensure your equipment is in tip top condition for your next day’s skiing; and if driving to resort there is space in the garage for 4-6 vehicles.
The chalet is rented on a catered basis with a simple Austrian dinner and breakfast.
