Chalet Arpont is a self-catered ski chalet located in Courchevel Moriond (1650). One of the chalets in the Domaine des Glaciers private hamlet at the entrance to the resort, this stylish chalet features stunning panoramic views across the valley. The resort centre is just a 200 metre walk away, so it is easy to enjoy all this family friendly ski resort has to offer.
The chalet is spread across four floors and 246m2 of floor area all connected by both stairs and an elevator. The impressive living area is on the top floor and sits beneath a cathedral like ceiling. The kitchen with bar counter, dining room and living room all sit side by side in a vast open plan arrangement, all decorated in a style that fuses traditional savoir-faire with a modern atmosphere.
Sleeping up to 12 guests there are six bedrooms spread evenly between the middle two floors. Five of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and the other bedroom has a separate but dedicated shower room and toilet. There are five bedrooms with double beds, and the sixth bedroom has a bunk bed perfect for two children.
The interior styling blends contemporary lines, raw materials and a soft palette of sand and grey tones to create a chic, modern ambience. On every floor, balconies and terraces offer views of the Courchevel slopes and the Vanoise peaks.
On the lowest level there is also a wellness area with sunken hot tub, shower, and space for a massage table. The chalet also has an indoor ski room with heated boot warmers as well as laundry facilities with a washing machine and tumble dryer. For those driving to Meribel, there is also a car parking space available.
To access the ski slopes it is a 400m walk to the main snow front and the Ariondaz gonolda. The Ariondaz gonolda brings you up to an altitude of 2,052m and from where you can choose to ski the quieter local slopes, or head over towards the pistes of Courchevel 1850. Courchevel 1650 has an excellent network of green, blue and red slopes all with stunning views away from the crowds.
On the main snow front are the ski school meeting points as well as the Club Piou Piou for 3 to 5-year-olds where they can start their own adventures on snow. Courchevel Moriond is one of the best ski resorts in the Alps for learning to ski with excellent tuition and slopes to progress on. There are also ski lockers available to rent for the week next to the ESF office so you can leave your boots and skis close to the departure of the slopes and not have to carry your equipment every day.
Courchevel Moriond as it is now known, or Courchevel 1650 as it used to be called, has a wide array of bars and restaurants, with something for everyone’s taste and budget. There is a very well-stocked supermarket and excellent bakery too. The Aquamotion aquatic, wellness and sports centre is also easily accessed by foot or using the resort ski bus.
