Etoile du Nord, launched for the 2022/23 winter season, comprises two adjoining chalets, the “East” and “West” Wing. Here you are tucked away in the Petite Alaska enclave, but only an easy 10-minute walk to the bustling centre of lively Val d’Isere. Access is via a private, tunnelled entrance, making Etoile du Nord one of the most private and exclusive chalets in Val d’Isere.
The chalet is arranged over five floors and 710m2 of floor area, with an elevator also serving four floors. Running through the centre of the chalet is a striking staircase in bronzed steel and is an epic centrepiece to this remarkable chalet. This vast and contemporary property delivers a sophisticated interior and dramatic communal spaces where you can all come together.
The first floor is dedicated to the communal and open plan living areas where your eyes will no doubt be immediately drawn to the staggering views from the huge picture windows. Snuggle up by the fireside on the comfy sofas or enjoy an aperitif at the small bar. The kitchen overlooks the dining table where you can delight in fine dining experiences or simpler relaxed family-style meals.
Accommodating up to 12 adults and 2 children in seven generously sized bedrooms, all feature en-suite marble bathrooms, some with vast walk-in showers, others with beautiful baths. The master suite has complete privacy on the top floor and even features its own outdoor hot tub on the terrace. Three of the double bedrooms can also be arranged with twin beds.
At the centre of your private spa located on the ground floor is the 6m x 2.7m indoor/outdoor swimming pool. The pool is separated from the elements via a retractable glass wall, and it is possible to adjust the depth of the pool to up to 3m deep. There is also a large steam room, shower, relaxation zone, massage room and a Peloton bike, plus an outdoor terrace with hot tub.
Heading downstairs and you enter the cinema room with a stylish fully stocked bar and a large sofa area perfect for movie nights in. There is a large wall-mounted TV and even a view through to the swimming pool via a vast perspex window! The spacious bunk room located off the cinema room can be opened up to allow for a larger games/children’s area.
On the basement level there is a large, shared garage, a private ski and boot room and laundry room. There is also a professional kitchen on this level and if staying on a catered basis, your chef may cook from here, or in the private in-chalet kitchen on the living floor. The professional kitchen is not for guest use. Please note, the property is directly attached to a neighbouring chalet.
When rented on a catered basis, your chauffeur will be on hand to whisk you to the snow front and ski lifts in just a few minutes, as well as pick you up at the end of your ski day, from shopping, or after après ski.
