Chalet V is a stunning modern luxury ski chalet in La Tzoumaz, which is part of Verbier and the 4 Vallées, Switzerland’s biggest skiing area with over 400 km of pistes. Located on the Plateau de Villy, the area enjoys a micro-climate with over 300 sunny days a year and the views over the Rhône valley and the Alps will be sure to take your breath away.
The chalet is arranged over four floors and 350m2 of living space all connected by stairs and an elevator. Sleeping 10-12 people in 5 bedrooms, there are a variety of sleeping arrangements from double beds, twins and bunk beds. The master bedroom suite located on the top floor and with vaulted ceilings includes an en-suite bathroom as well as a balcony. There are three more bathrooms arranged over the first and second floors.
The architecture of Chalet V is in keeping with traditional design and the use of old wood and natural stone ensures a cosy ambiance. The open plan living room is elegant and decked out with beautiful designer furniture. Here you can curl up in front of the grand fireplace with a book and a glass of wine before enjoying evening dinner parties all freshly prepared by your private chef.
Perhaps the highlight of the chalet is the all-year heated (32°C) outdoor swimming pool, which also comes with a large hot tub. The large terraces and balconies measuring over 200m2, along with plentiful outdoor furniture, lets you enjoy the views to the fullest. Back inside the excellent spa facilities continue with a sauna as well as a small steam shower. For entertainment the TV room and a retro-90’s pinball machine will provide hours of joy.
The centre of La Tzoumaz and the ski resort are a 4 minute drive from the chalet. You will find Chalet V’s private ski room directly at the gondola. Slip into your pre-heated boots and take the lift up to the Savoleyres cable car and Verbier is one easy downhill ski ride away. Non-skiers can take a cable car down to Verbier village to meet the skiers for lunch or go for a little shopping.
La Tzoumaz is developing swiftly as the smaller brother to Verbier on the other side of the mountain. The fantastic north facing position allows for superb snow conditions throughout the winter. The access to Verbier is easy and in high season you will be spared the long queues at the main gondolas in Verbier, allowing to reach les Attelas/Ruinettes more quickly than coming from Médran.
To get back to La Tzoumaz, experienced skiers can directly pass through the beautiful “Vallon d’Arbi” without descending to Verbier first. The resort has much to offer, be it the 412km of slopes or the 10km sledge run, one of the longest in Switzerland.
If self-driving to the chalet you also have the benefit of 3 private indoor car parking spaces at your disposal.
Chalet V is available to rent on a self-catered basis and is priced for up to 12 guests. The chalet is also available to rent on catered chalet basis. Additional services such as an in-resort driver service can be added with an additional charge.
