Chalet Arolla is the perfect chalet for large group chalet holidays in Tignes, France. Sleeping up to 20 people, and with an almost ski in ski out location, the chalet is a dream for keen skiers and snowboarders. With a setting at 2,100m altitude, Tignes is one of the most snow-sure resorts in the Alps. The Espace Killy ski area, shared between Tignes and Val d’Isere, offers 300km of slopes and 2 skiable glaciers.
The chalet is arranged over four floors and 370m2 of living space, all connected by both stairs and an elevator. Outside the chalet has a traditional old wood appearance, whilst inside wood and stone are mixed perfectly with modern facilities for a truly comfortable stay. For those driving to resort, there is private garage parking available, so your car will not be covered in snow throughout your stay.
The top floor set beneath the beautiful, beamed roof and with large picture windows, is home to the communal living spaces. There are two separate lounge areas divided by the feature fireplace which sits at the centre of this room. Balconies on two sides let you enjoy the mountain views firsthand.
The huge dining table seats up to 20 guests and is perfect for sharing quality time together in the evenings. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with all you need for a self-catered holiday, and the breakfast bar perfect for some pre-dinner drinks.
Heading down one floor and here there are five double bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms. Down again to the ground floor and there is a separate studio with kitchenette and dining table, as well as a double sofa bed, quad bunk room and a shower room. The final bedroom is on the lowest floor and is a further quad bunk room with en-suite shower room.
The studio on the ground floor, as well as bedroom 6 are suitable and designed for disabled access. All of the bedrooms are equipped with a flat screen TV allowing you to watch international satellite TV channels or your favourite Netflix series, along with an individual SONOS sound system, USB sockets and free WIFI access.
Also on the lowest level are the extensive spa and entertainment facilities. Choose between hot and cold rejuvenation with a dip in the hot tub or refresh in the 10° cold bath. To sooth tired muscles the hammam will help to detox and revive whilst the warmth of the sauna will envelop you in relaxation. The fitness room with rower and weight bench is ready for anyone with any energy left to burn.
At the end of your day why not head to the cinema room and enjoy your favourite movie on the giant 82″ flat screen and BOSE 5.1 home cinema installation. Enjoy games on the PlayStation 4, your favourite series on Apple TV or maybe some more traditional fun with board games or cards. A bar completes this space and perfect for your favourite movie snacks or aperitif. There is also a useful laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
The edge of the ski slopes are only 50m from the chalet, with both the fast Chaudannes & Paquis chairlifts a further 50m. You can walk into the centre of both Tignes Le Lac and Le Lavachet where there is a wide array of bars, restaurants and shops as well as the Tignespace sports centre and Le Lagon swimming pool complex.
