The main living room exudes grandeur with high ceilings and sumptuous sofas and armchairs all centred around an impressive wood-burning fireplace. Just off this space, a private cinema room provides the perfect escape for movie nights in.

Heading up one flight of stairs to the top floor, the master suite awaits, offering a private retreat with its own fireplace, private balcony, and panoramic views. An adjoining office space offers a serene space for remote working. The en-suite bathroom is beautifully designed with a deep soaking bath, a shower, twin sinks, as well as a spacious dressing room.

Heading down to the ground floor and this is where the main sleeping quarters are arranged with five beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms. There is a twin/double bedroom, a cosy bunk bedroom for up to two children only, and three elegant double bedrooms. Most of the bedrooms have terrace access, allowing you to step outside into the natural mountain environment.

Lastly, we discover the chalet’s impressive wellness facilities on the lower ground floor. The spa area is decked out with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, and hammam, all with views out onto the garden and mountains. The state-of-the-art gym is fully equipped for a strenuous workout, or alternatively relax with a massage in the private treatment room.

Outside, the sun-soaked terrace offers the ideal spot for unwinding or watching the children build snowmen in the garden. Better still, sink into the outdoor hot tub, soak your tired muscles and enjoy a glass of chilled bubbly.

For those looking to drive to Meribel, the chalet has ample parking with one indoor garage space and two outdoor spaces. The fully equipped ski room with heated boot racks on the ground floor ensures you are on the ski slopes within a matter of minutes. Private laundry facilities are also available.

The chalet is located at the bottom of the Belvedere private enclave of chalets which is situated at the top of Meribel. The red graded Mauduit piste passes along the bottom of the garden and from where it is around a 600m ski down to the main lift hub, La Chaudanne, located in Meribel Centre. At the end of your ski day, you can ski back down the same piste to the Bellevedere area and Chalet La Taniere.

At La Chaudanne you have a choice of 3 gondolas, Tougnete 1, Saulire Express and Rhodos 1, as well as the fast Legends chairlift. As well as providing quick access to the ski slopes of Meribel, the 2 stage Saulire Express gondola also provides access to the ski slopes of Courchevel. Whilst after taking the Tougnete gondola you can switch onto the Tougnete 2 chairlift and head over onto the slopes of the Belleville valley, home to St Martin de Belleville and Val Thorens.

The main ski school meeting points are all located at La Chaudanne, whilst at the Rond-Point area which is a 4-minute drive away, there is also the ESF Piou Piou snow garden where young children can get their first experience of sliding on snow. Meribel and the Three Valleys ski area offers an abundance of skiing for all levels, so it is a great resort for mixed ability groups and families.

Chalet La Tanière is available to rent on a catered and self-catered basis. Within the catered service level, it is possible to rent with different service packages – Gold, Silver or Famille.
