Chalet Grand Blanc is a self-catered ski chalet in Meribel in the sought-after setting of Mussillon. Arranged across three floors the chalet blends traditional alpine architecture and modern design and comfort. Offering 450m2 of floor area and six bedrooms, this spacious property is a great choice for large family gatherings or a group of friends looking to holiday together in the 3 Valleys ski area.
At the heart of the chalet on the middle floor is a fantastic living and entertaining space. The open kitchen with island unit and breakfast bar anchors the space and is adjacent to the dining table that can seat 14. You then have a choice of two living areas, one with fireplace and perfect for chatting late into the night, the other with a large flat screen TV and ideal for relaxed movie nights in.
From the living areas you can step out onto a large terrace with views across the Meribel valley. Facing west, the sun sets behind the mountains opposite meaning you can enjoy the last rays of the day once back from the ski slopes. Also on the terrace is an outdoor hot tub that is the perfect spot to sink into and rejuvenate after a tiring day exploring the ski area.
Accommodating up to 14 guests, the bedrooms are spread throughout the chalet creating privacy where needed. On the ground floor there are three double bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms. On the middle floor there is a further en-suite double room with balcony.
Up on the top floor there is more flexible rooming with two bedrooms, both with balconies, accommodating up to 6 guests. A family room can be setup with either a double or twin bed and has 2 additional single beds tucked under the eaves and ideal for children. The other bedroom has a double bed. These bedrooms share a separate toilet and bathroom also on the same level.
The chalet has further facilities with an additional TV area on the top floor, and which is a great spot for any children in your group to hang out and have their own space. On the ground floor there is a wellness area with a steam room and a massage room.
When it comes to the everyday facilities that all add to your holiday, the chalet is also well-equipped. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available if you need to do any washing – always a bonus for any groups with children. The ski room has boot heaters and racks for storing your skis and snowboards.
There is also car parking available for any guests looking to drive to Meribel for their stay at Chalet Grand Blanc.
The chalet is in the Mussillon neighbourhood, which is known as Meribel’s chalet quarter, and a 500-meters walk to the centre of the resort. Within 150m there is also a well sized and stocked supermarket, along with a shop selling local cheeses. In the evenings, if you prefer to dine out, it is easy to walk into the resort where there is a wide choice of restaurants to enjoy.
To access the ski slopes, within 50m of the chalet the “Mussillon Haut” bus stop provides access to the resort ski bus travelling both to and from the main lift hub and snow front at La Chaudanne in the resort centre. For those requiring ski school, all the meeting points for lessons are also located at La Chaudanne.
Chalet Grand Blanc is available to rent on a self-catered basis and includes daily housekeeping and a daily shuttle service to and from the ski slopes.
