Chalet Makalu is a recently-built 270m2 ski chalet which can accommodate up to ten guests. The chalet is located in a private, gated development close to the centre of Courchevel 1550 and has uninterrupted views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. The nearest piste is just 200 metres away and with a direct lift connection to Courchevel 1850, access to the Courchevel and the 3 Vallées ski area is excellent.
The chalet is a unique blend of modern and traditional design, featuring local materials with a contemporary ambiance. In the living spaces, rustic, rough-hewn woods and fluffy faux-fur cushions and throws create a warm and cosy retreat from the world. Enjoy this haven of peace whilst snuggled up in front of the open fireplace and watch the snow swirling outside.
The large living and dining area with open plan kitchen is on the upper level of the chalet. There is an open fireplace surrounded by comfortable sofas and great views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. There is also a snug with TV on a mezzanine area above the kitchen.
A wonderful cinema room with bar area is found on the first floor, whilst the outdoor Jacuzzi on the large terrace is perfect for private après ski relaxation.
Chalet Makalu has five bedrooms. The master suite has a private bathroom with a separate shower and three further double rooms also have en-suite bath and shower room. The fifth bedroom is a twin bunk room with en-suite shower room.
Guests also have access to a shared fitness room, games room with pool table and table football as well as the ski room. Ski storage is available at the bottom of the ski runs, meaning you can walk back to your chalet in your own comfortable shoes.
The chalet is rented on a bed & breakfast basis with a continental breakfast provided each morning, daily housekeeping and a daily in-resort driver service between Courchevel 1550 and Courchevel 1850 available from 09:00 to 17:00. Please note the driver service operates from 09:00-14:00 during the 2 pre Christmas weeks and in April
