Chalet Silver Forest is a self-catered chalet located in a tranquil mountain hamlet in the Chamonix valley. The chalet offers an elevated setting, and the huge windows let you enjoy uninterrupted mountain views down the valley to the ski lifts at le Tour. The property mixes the ambiance of a traditional chalet with modern design and impressive facilities for a very cosy mountain holiday.
The chalet is arranged over three floors and 195m2 of floor area. Entering the chalet on the ground floor and there is garage car parking available as well as ski and cycle storage. Stepping down to the lower ground floor and here you will discover wonderful facilities for you to enjoy once back from the ski slopes. An indoor heated pool with resistance setting for those who enjoy a swim, as well as a sauna. A spacious cinema room also provides additional social spaces for any family groups.
Up now to the top floor of the chalet and here are the open plan lounge, dining, and kitchen. This space is dominated by the views that flood in through the huge picture windows. A contemporary wood-burning stove along with subtle lighting helps to create a cosy atmosphere on winter nights. Outside there are two balconies, one with a sunken hot tub, plus a dining table for al fresco dining in the mountain air.
Sleeping 10 guests there are five bedrooms. On the top floor is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. On the ground floor are the main sleeping quarters with three bedrooms – two double and one twin/double – all have en-suite or private showers or baths, with two of the bedrooms sharing a separate toilet. The final bedroom, a bunk room with private facilities, is tucked away on the lower ground floor.
The chalet also has a washing machine and tumble dyer, as well exterior car parking for 3 cars.

Here you enjoy the feeling of being away from the hustle of modern life whilst being only a 15-minute drive from the centre of Chamonix. We recommend having your own car to make the most of the varied skiing that the Chamonix valley has to offer.
The nearest skiing to the chalet is at either Grands Montets or La Flegere, which are both just over a 4km drive away. The skiing at Grand Montets is the destination of choice for strong skiers in the valley, though it has a great beginner area at the bottom of the ski area. La Flegere offers a network of slopes perfect for intermediate skiers and is linked to Le Brevent right above Chamonix centre.
At either end of the valley are the ski areas of Les Houches and Le Tour where you can find slopes for all levels. The famous Aiguille du Midi cable car, a tourist attraction in its own right, is just over a 10km drive away and is the starting point for the famous Vallee Blanche off-piste route. The centre of Chamonix offers a huge selection shops, bars, restaurants, and amenities benefitting a year-round destination and town.
For stocking up on supplies for your self-catered ski holiday the nearest large supermarket is 8.4km from the chalet. If you do not fancy cooking in the evenings and want to stay local, there is a neighbouring hotel for drinks and a meal, whilst for a special treat, the ‘hameau’ is just 50m away and offers gastronomic dinners.
For larger groups, Chalet Silver Forest can be rented in conjunction with Chalet Green Forest which is a neighbouring property. Together the chalets can sleep up to 19 in 10 bedrooms.
Chalet Silver Forest is available to rent on a self-catered basis with daily housekeeping and daily delivery of bread & pastries. Additional services such as in-chalet catering or driver service can all be arranged at extra cost.
