Chalet Bear is a wonderful private luxury chalet in the exclusive ski resort of Klosters, Switzerland. Recently named as one of the top 10 private chalets available to rent in Switzerland, it sits on a small hill, with sensational views and a 5 minute walk to the lifts and centre of the village.
This is one of the last log chalets left in Klosters, a true chocolate box of a chalet that was completely refurbished in 2006. It now combines traditional Swiss Alpine structure with every mod con and offers 288m2 of living space. The chalet has four floors and sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. All the rooms have been decorated to a high standard and keep with the warm character of this exceptional chalet.
On the ground floor, there is a large dining room with a kitchen at one end. There is a long table that comfortably sits up to 8 in front of a large open fireplace and creates a wonderful environment for long, social dinners or easy family suppers.
To the right of the staircase are a utility room and a guest WC. To the left is a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. This floor has been designed for full wheelchair access and this is where the main entrance to the chalet is. Ski gear can be left in the entrance lobby. There is also a terrace on this floor that runs the width of the whole chalet.
The sitting room is the main focus of the first floor and there is a large, open, wood burning fireplace in this room. The sitting room is very comfortably furnished and there are superb views from all sides. Next to this room is a fully equipped TV/study room, which can also be used as an extension to the sitting room. There is also a small bar room with a sink, dishwasher, fridge and glass storage.
On the second floor, there are two further bedrooms each with its own bathroom (one en-suite). The views from both wood-panelled rooms are outstanding. Both bathrooms have under floor hearing and large baths. On the top floor, there is a large, en-suite double bedroom and a bath/shower room. This room has an open fire adding to the already special atmosphere of this chalet.
For your après ski relaxation, Chalet Bear also features a private sauna, outdoor wood fired hot tub and cold plunge pool. It is is one of the most exceptional properties in the resort that has been restored and equipped by the English owner. It is pristine and will be appreciated by those looking for a cosy, high quality, and sensitively designed, private family home.
