Alta Badia Luxury Ski Chalets

The perfect destination for beginner skiers and those who love long ski days with a stunning backdrop.

The sunny 16km valley of Alta Badia in the Dolomite mountains is located in the south-eastern South Tyrol region of Italy. It is a beautiful natural environment ranging from smooth hills to imposing Dolomite peaks rising up from green forests. The Alta Badia region is home to the six villages of Corvara, Colfosco, San Cassiano, Badia, La Villa and La Val. The spectacular Dolomites are also listed as an UNESCO Natural World Heritage site due to its striking landscapes and geology.

The local Alta Badia ski area is situated between an altitude of 1,300m and 2,778m above sea level, and along with extensive snow making, the ski season extends from early December to mid-April. The 130km of expertly groomed ski slopes are connected by 53 fast and comfortable ski lifts.

The slopes are divided into 70km easy/blue, 52km medium/red and 8 km difficult/black and its position at the centre of the world’s biggest ski carousel, the Dolomiti Superski, makes it a must ski destination.

As half of the pistes are not too challenging, the Alta Badia ski area is perfectly suited to families and beginner skiers and snowboarders. Almost all ski villages in Alta Badia offer lifts and pistes for children, as well as ski kindergartens. For those who can already ski, you will delight in the almost endless network of slopes that criss-cross the mountains.

Whilst those who love to rack up some serious kilometres under their skis, the ski circuits of Sellaronda, the tour around the Sella massif, the First World War ski tour and Lagazuoi circuit will create lasting memories and tired legs.

The Alta Badia valley is a wonderful destination for holidaymakers in summer as well as winter. Whether it be cycling, walking, climbing or horseback riding in the summer, or alpine or cross-country skiing in the snowy months, you are assured of a magical and pristine mountain backdrop. The area also boasts 2 restaurants which hold Michelin stars, along with an abundance of restaurants and cosy mountain huts serving up mouth-watering local cuisine and wines.
