Chalet Les Marmottes is a self-catered chalet in Megeve located in the hamlet of Le Jaillet. It is a great option for those who love to be close to the skiing as you are only 300 meters from the slopes and the bottom of the Jaillet gondola lift. This lift will whisk you up to the top of the Jaillet Massif, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of Mont Blanc. From here you can ski the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area. The chalet is also only a few minutes from Le Palais, a balneotherapy centre in Megeve.
The chalet is arranged over three floors, 450m2 of living space and sleeps 10 guests in 5 en-suite bedrooms. The interior is full of light and space along with plenty of wood panelling for that authentic chalet ambiance. The top floor of the chalet is mainly dedicated to the open plan living spaces that feature large bay windows and great views over Megeve and the Rochebrune mountains. At the heart of this room is the glass fronted fireplace, perfect for cosy winter nights in.
The vaulted timber roof under which the living and dining rooms sit is impressive and the chandelier above the dining table creates a grand setting for dinner parties. There are two comfortable seating areas including one perfect for board games or cards as well as a large flat screen TV. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking or there are excellent restaurants just a few minute’s drive away. A mezzanine area above the kitchen has an office area with sofa.
There are five en-suite double bedrooms with the master suite with balcony and impressive view on the top floor and the other four bedrooms on the ground floor all with terrace access. The ground floor is also home to the excellent private leisure area with swimming pool with counter-current swimming system and a steam room. On the lowest level there is a garage with space for 4 cars, a laundry room, and ski room.
