Chalet L’Orchidee is a stunning standalone chalet in a peaceful area of Meribel. Tucked away in the tranquil Raffort hamlet, the Olympic gondola is only a five-minute walk away. This ski lift connects you into the resort centre and the main lift hub of La Chaudanne. This stylish and elegant chalet accommodates up to 12 guests and blends modern design with alpine furnishings.
The chalet is spread across three floors plus a mezzanine level and offers 300m2 of floor area. At the heart of the chalet on the first floor is a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. Light pours in through floor-to-ceiling windows, and there is another entrance to the chalet here: a small balcony with external steps from the ground floor leads directly to a door opening into the kitchen.
A grand and spacious kitchen with a large marble island unit overlooks the dining area, which seats eight. Enjoy relaxed breakfasts with a view out through the large windows onto the alpine surroundings. In the evenings, and once dinner is finished, retire to the adjoining living room and relax by the fireplace. Tucked away behind the living room is a separate TV room with a plush sofa.
Stepping outside and a wide balcony wraps around two sides of the chalet. It is a great spot for morning coffee totally secluded in nature. In the warmer spring months, tuck into some al fresco meals on outdoor dining table. At all times though you will appreciate the outdoor hot tub here, perfect for soaking tired muscles after a day of skiing or admiring the stars above as the snow falls.
On the second floor are three twin/double bedrooms. The first bedroom has an en-suite shower room and mountain views. The second features a spacious en-suite shower room, and a private balcony with views of the slopes behind the chalet. The third is the master bedroom and is equipped with a private balcony and large en-suite shower room. Stairs on this floor lead up to a mezzanine level on the top floor.
On the ground level are two bedrooms with first a double room with floor-to-ceiling windows and an en-suite shower room with a spacious walk-in shower. The second room is a charming children’s bunk room sleeping four, along with an en-suite bathroom.
Also on the ground floor is a spacious ski room with boot warmers and a laundry room. Adjoining this room is a games room with table football and a seating area and is a great dedicated space for any family groups travelling with children. There is also 1 outdoor car parking space available
To access the ski slopes, the Méribel Olympic Gondola is only a 5-minute walk away. This gondola connects you to the main Chaudanne lift hub and snow front in Meribel Centre, and where the ski school meeting points are also located. From here, you have a choice of gondolas and a chairlift, depending on where you wish to ski that day.
To return to the chalet and the hamlet of Raffort, you have a few choices. When the snow conditions allow, skiing right up to the chalet is possible via an off-piste section from the blue Raffort slope that brings you directly at garden level to the front of the chalet. The efficient resort ski bus also stops just 250m from the chalet, meaning you are always well connected to the resort day and night.
