Chalet Maurice, located in the exclusive Petit Village area of Zermatt is accessed via a private funicular railway through the mountain! Set into the mountainside, this freestanding chalet, designed by renowned architect Magali de Tscharner offers a magnificent view of the soaring peak of the Matterhorn.
The combination of local materials, natural fabrics and simple elegant lines creates a contemporary and comfortable interior. Sumptuous fabrics and rich wool in palettes of charcoal grey, cream and white all blend to form a luxurious and chic alpine retreat.
The chalet sleeps 12 guests in six large en-suite bedrooms spread over three floors, with four of the bedrooms having direct views of the Matterhorn. The master suite, occupying the entire top floor, features an open fire and the double height pitched ceiling and floor to ceiling windows lets the views and light flood in.
The spacious open plan living area and dining room create a feeling of great comfort and light. In the evenings let the outstanding cuisine and service transform this area into your own private dinner party.
The large south-facing balconies on each floor offer the perfect spot to soak up the sun or admire the view with a glass of champagne.
For those in need of some relaxation after a day on the slopes, why not unwind with a massage or ease your muscles in the sauna followed by the warm revitalising bubbles of the outdoor hot tub. If you prefer to unwind with a movie then the cinema room will be waiting for you.
With the Sunnegga lift a mere 3 minutes away and the centre of Zermatt a further 2 minutes by electric taxi, the chalet affords privacy but is also easily accessible to both the slopes and the numerous shops, bars and restaurants of this world class resort.
Please note that Zermatt is a car free resort and the chalet staff will be able to book electric taxis for you on request.
