Chalet X is a magnificently appointed luxury chalet in Morzine, located in L’Ele in between Morzine and Montriond. The chalet is a 15 minute walk from the Morzine suspension bridge and access to the town centre and ski lifts. Inside you can enjoy extensive private spa facilities, whilst outside large terraces make the best of the views. Previously a private home, it has undergone a full interior refurbishment and is now available to rent from January 2022.
Arranged over four floors, the chalet can comfortably accommodate 12 guests. For larger family groups, there is also a room with 2 sets of bunk beds and 2 beds on a mezzanine floor, with the maximum occupancy of up to 12 adults and 2 children. The seven bedrooms are beautifully appointed, with five of the bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, and the remaining two bedrooms sharing a shower room.
The spacious open plan living areas are spread across the first floor and offer fantastic views across the valley. The sofas all face onto the open fireplace to make for cosy night in with a glass or two of wine. The dining and kitchen bar area sit behind the fireplace and is a very convivial space for enjoying abundant breakfasts and private dinner parties prepared by your professional chef.
Heading downstairs to the ground floor and here is the stunning spa area with an indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna. A mezzanine above houses an extensive cardio fitness suite. The pool area is the perfect spot to relax and unwind in after skiing. Afterwards you can head back upstairs and enjoy a movie in the dedicated TV/cinema room.
Outside, the large wrap-around south-facing terrace is where you will find the outdoor hot tub. Here you can enjoy watching the late afternoon rays set over the mountains, all whilst the warm bubbles ease your tired body. An outdoor heated snug area adds to the après ski fun of the chalet, and a great spot for a pre-dinner aperitif.
Your in-resort driver service will take you in comfort to the ski lifts each morning, and pick you up after après ski in the afternoon. For those looking for a chalet with the X-Factor in one of the world’s largest ski areas, along with flexible rooming for different groups and families, it is very difficult to beat.
