Madonna di Campiglio Luxury Ski Chalets

A varied and well linked ski area along with stunning scenery offers the perfect mix for your ski holiday.

Madonna di Campiglio is the largest ski area in the Trentino region of the Brenta Dolomites in Italy. This fashionable resort delivers both stunning scenery and a well linked ski area. The village is built in a pleasant traditional alpine style and has a car free centre. The lower mountains surrounding the village are covered in an abundance of trees, before the more dramatic Dolomiti peaks unveil themselves above.

The resort sits in a beautiful natural basin between the Brenta Dolomites group and the Adamello and Presanella glaciers. The area was launched as a tourist destination in the second half of last century and became known as the “pearl of the Dolomites”, attracting an exclusive clientele. Today it welcomes an increasingly international clientele who come to enjoy the varied ski slopes that offer a great sense of travel.

The Skiarea Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta offers 156 kilometres of interconnected ski slopes across the three ski areas of Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo and Folgarida-Marilleva. The resort of Madonna di Campiglio is located at an elevation of 1,524m and the ski area extends from 800m to 2,505m. 59 lifts serve the 108 slopes in the ski domain and 95% of slopes are also served by artificial snow systems.

On the mountain there are a whole host of experiences not to be missed including the “Canalone Miramonti” the world cup run or the “Amazzonia”, which is sure to get the blood pumping and your legs warmed up in no time! But the great thing about this ski area is that there are slopes for all abilities, as well as 4 snow parks including the Ursus Snow Park, one of the best terrain parks in the Alps.

For those of you who love to ski to lunch, you are in luck as the piste map has the mountain restaurants noted on it. Worth trying are the Rifugio Viviani with great views at the top of the mountain, or the Cascina Zeledria towards the bottom of the ski slopes. The Stoppani Refuge offers both the choice of a self-service or gourmet restaurant at an altitude of 2,500m all with a magnificent view of the Brenta Dolomites.

In the evenings there are around 20 eateries to enjoy, from Gourmet Michelin starred restaurants to genuine Italian pizzerias, rustic farmhouses and lively restaurants serving relaxed dining and local specialities. For those who fancy a day off the slopes there is a good selection of smart shops to browse, or just find a cosy spot in a café and watch the world go by like a local.
