Chalet Sorbier is located above the village of Nendaz and the elevated setting ensures magical panoramic mountain views. Arranged over three floors the chalet can accommodate up to 11 guests in 5 bedrooms. With an outdoor hot tub, you can relax in style with a mountain backdrop after a day’s skiing, and a sauna will warm tired bodies.
The open plan living and dining rooms plus kitchen are arranged over the middle floor and this space opens out onto a wide terrace. Upstairs there is a small mezzanine reading area with TV, two en-suite double bedrooms as well as an en-suite triple bunk room. On the lower floor are two twin/double bedrooms which share a bathroom.
During the ski season, if snow conditions allow, you can depart from the chalet by skiing along a snowy path and joining the Jean-Pierre ski slope after approximately 300 metres. From the chalet to the gondola lift station takes no more than 5 minutes for an average skier.
It is possible to ski back to the chalet, but it is not along a pisted ski slope and at one point you have to cross a cleared path. So better to take off your skis and put them on again on the other side. The last 30m to the chalet is uphill. Therefore, you may have to walk this distance depending on your speed and skiing ability.
In summer or winter, it is recommended to arrive with a car. During the ski season if you arrive by car a 4×4 or snow chains are mandatory to reach the Les Clèves parking. The chalet has 3 parking spaces available. The chalet is in a white zone, and there is no direct access to the chalet by car during the winter months.
Access to the chalet from the les Clèves parking area is normally by Polaris or on foot, which is approximately a 10 minute walk. The rental includes 3 transport trips per group arrival/departure at one time, to/from the chalet and to/from the car park. Additionally, this chalet has 2 extra trips included for shopping transfer from the car park to the chalet
The village centre can be accessed on foot and you will need to allow a good 20 minutes along a small downhill road, or via a shorter route along the hiking path (may be icy during the winter months) which will take you 15 minutes. Back to the chalet is an uphill walk so will take a little longer.
