The village benefits from 2 excellent restaurants easily reached by a short walk from any of the chalets. Restaurant Le Martagon specialises in steaks and local Savoyard food, a perfect place to settle in for a cosy night by a roaring open fire and enjoy a delicious fondue shared with all of the family.

The 2019 winter season saw the opening of L’Atelier du Raffort, a small 24 cover restaurant run by a husband and wife team. Modern in décor and serving traditional local dishes along with meat cooked on the indoor BBQ, it’s certainly fun to watch Stephanie cooking your meal on the open grill and adds to the ambience of the restaurant.

Whilst the village is just on the outskirts of the main ski resort you can still connect quickly and efficiently to the resort centre without needing to drive. The village benefits from the Olympic gondola station which takes you direct to the Chaudanne (main ski lift point) in 5 minutes. The gondola runs all day and provides quick and easy access to the resort centre. Alternatively, there is also a regular free ski bus service and some of the chalets on offer include a minibus shuttle service.

Returning to your chalet at the end of your ski day couldn’t be easier with a groomed red and blue piste descending to the village (snow permitting) taking you straight back and providing some of the chalets with that enviable ‘ski in’ (or almost) location. Should you find your legs are too tired at the end of an exhausting ski day then the Olympic Gondola runs until 5.30pm to get you back to the village. If you’ve taken full advantage of Meribel’s renowned après ski and need to get home after the infamous ‘Rond Pont’ closes then the free ski bus runs into the evening.
